Directing, filming and editing live action/piece to camera video

I’m a highly skilled editor of live-action video, both scripted and unscripted. That might involve interviews, footage of a location, event or process with voiceover, or a combination of all of those.

I love gradually piecing together the story of an edit – finding the best takes and how to fit them together, making careful edits to improve pacing, selecting B-roll, and bringing everything together with music and graphics into something effective and polished.

I have also directed or personally shot many of the projects I’ve worked on, and being involved from start to finish has a lot of advantages. Being on set means I can capture exactly what I need for the edit while we are filming. And as the editor, already being familiar with the footage saves hours when it comes to picking out the best takes.

For small-scale shoots, I’m familiar with common setups for lighting, audio and other rigging, can operate camera including use of a gimbal, and I’m well-practised directing both video and stills shoots in studio or on location.
